Zach McGovern

Mr. McGovern earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri Rolla.  Prior to joining S-E-A, he spent six years working for a major manufacturer of construction and mining equipment in a variety of engineering roles including product design, product testing, field service, manufacturing, and machine configuration.

At S-E-A, Mr. McGovern is responsible for performing investigations and analysis pertaining to the reconstruction of motor vehicle accidents and mechanical failures.  His vehicle accident reconstruction experience includes matters involving tractor trailers, automobiles, heavy equipment, motorcycles, and pedestrians.  He is experienced in accessing and analyzing vehicle data systems utilizing the Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) system for passenger vehicles and Engine Control Module (ECM) software/hardware for commercial vehicles.  He is a qualified operator of 3D laser scanning equipment, drones, and accident reconstruction simulation software for documentation and analysis of accidents.  Capitalizing on his design, testing, and manufacturing background, Mr. McGovern is also responsible for performing forensic investigations as they relate to alleged defects or failures of mechanical systems and components including, but not limited to, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, fork trucks, automotive components, industrial machinery, power tools, and exercise equipment.

Mr. McGovern is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS).
