Dr. Verner joined SEA, Ltd. as a technical consultant after completing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Gonzaga University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (focusing on biomechanics and biology) at Purdue University. During her doctoral studies, she performed extensive research and experimental testing on musculoskeletal tissues’ response to mechanical loads. Her research has been disseminated in peer-reviewed journal publications and as presentations at several national conferences. She has completed coursework in traffic accident reconstruction from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and is certified to use the Bosch CDR tool. She is also a member of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). In total, her education and experience make her well equipped to investigate, reconstruct, and analyze mechanical and biomechanical events, as well as perform case-specific testing and research.
