Mr. Holub obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University.  He is responsible for investigating incidents involving electrical systems, equipment, and appliances, particularly those suspected of causing fires, equipment damage, or electrocution/shock.  In addition, he gathers data from site visits, laboratory examinations, and research and/or testing for analysis to determine the mode of failure and sequence of events of incidents.  Mr. Holub performs analysis of artifacts to determine the failure mode of various types of electrical systems, equipment, and components (e.g., circuit breakers, transformers, power distribution systems, and communication systems).  He also conducts testing to evaluate the performance and reliability of products.

Prior to joining S-E-A, he worked as a Control Systems Engineer for nine years at a large engineering, procurement, and construction firm.  He is experienced in the design, procurement, fabrication, and construction process of large hydrocarbon production and petrochemical facilities.  His responsibilities included design documentation, instrumentation specification, code compliance, design review, progress reporting, change management, and construction oversight.

Mr. Holub also has experience in electronic circuit troubleshooting, electronic component testing, and schematic and printed circuit board layout.

Mr. Holub’s professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), and the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
