Mr. Basom has spent over 25 years of his professional career in the field of failure analysis and forensic engineering and fire investigation. Having attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Tulane University, he was employed in the Laboratory setting where he was responsible for the investigation and management of projects involving the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace exposures and accidents, mold evaluations, indoor air quality, flammability reconstruction, and warning label compliance, as well as review and interpretation of analytical chemistry data.
Mr. Basom is a frequent lecturer to industry trade organizations regarding the application of science and technology to the technical evaluations of claims. He has provided expert testimony in state and federal courts regarding analytical chemistry, as well as the analysis of accidents and injuries involving exposures to chemical agents and physical hazards.
