Mr. Lindsey received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University.
He investigates electrical faults and malfunctions, particularly those suspected of causing a fire or damage. He performs failure analysis of electronic components and systems. He reconstructs accidents to determine the mode and/or component failure.
Mr. Lindsey performs analysis on various types of electrical equipment (i.e., HVAC components, household appliances, electrical motors, transformers, control equipment, lighting fixtures/bulbs, and wiring components) onsite and/or in the laboratory to determine the cause or result of an incident.
He conducts tests to determine the reliability of products. He is a registered professional engineer in several states.
Mr. Lindsey is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).
