Benjamin Wilson

Mr. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio Northern University. He completed multiple design projects from concept, construction, to completion and presentation throughout his time at ONU. As a Mechanical Consultant based in S-E-A’s Columbus office, Mr. Wilson has experience with matters involving industrial equipment, heavy machinery, kitchen and home appliances, consumer products, and other various mechanical systems. Mr. Wilson performs inspections, investigations, and analyses of product designs, functionality, safeguards, and potential failure modes. He also develops and executes protocols for product testing to assess safety, effectiveness, durability, and standard conformity.

Before his work at S-E-A, Mr. Wilson held a failure analysis position at an automotive manufacturing company, where he performed static and dynamic testing on their full production line of vehicles, including legacy and prototype models. He completed several technical training programs covering the analysis and servicing of vehicle systems. Mr. Wilson also disassembled and inspected automotive components and vehicle assemblies including engines, wheel and braking assemblies, transmissions, and chasses to identify potential design issues. He is also familiar with manufacturing machinery, work environments, and safety policies from his experience at a metal fabrication factory. Mr. Wilson directly operated laser cutting equipment and machinery to prime, cut, and finish metal components that were utilized for manufacturing consumer products and commercial equipment.
