Biography
Mr. Lucernoni received his Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. He works with the Transportation Accident Reconstruction group performing vehicle accident investigation and component failure analyses. His capabilities include electronic data retrieval and analysis for passenger vehicles and heavy trucks, scene documentation, and reconstruction using Virtual Crash and Human Vehicle Enginvornment (HVE) simulation software. He is a FAA Part 107 licensed small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) pilot and a certified Bosh Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) Technician. Mr. Lucernoniโs personal experience performing automotive engine rebuilds and mechanical restorations makes him knowledgeable with diagnosing component failures and repairing gasoline engine components.
Prior to his time at S-E-A, Mr. Lucernoni worked in the defense industry for seven years as a systems engineer, microelectronics package engineer, and a mechanical engineer. His responsibilities included designing, manufacturing, testing, and inspection of terrestrial and flight communications hardware in accordance with MIL- STD-810 (U.S. Department of Defense Test Method Standard, Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests). He is also knowledgeable with manufacturing processes, including casting, milling, and turning operations.
Mr. Lucernoni is licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is also a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International and the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS). He has held a Top Secret clearance with the United States Department of Defense.
