Biography
Mr. Fox received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Notre Dame, where he performed undergraduate research on human standing balance. After working as a technical consultant in enterprise cloud engineering, he earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with a research focus on biomechanics and controls.
As a Mechanical/Biomechanics Consultant based in S-E-A’s Chicago office, Mr. Fox applies his knowledge and experience to investigate, analyze, and reconstruct accidents/incidents, injuries, and human exposures in such events. Focus areas include vehicle collisions (automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians), consumer/commercial product failures and safety, premises liability, and workplace injury exposure/risk.
During his graduate studies, Mr. Fox worked in the Neuromuscular Coordination Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin – Madison researching the interactions between biomechanics, neural control, and muscular coordination in human walking and balance. Through his research projects, he gained experience in modeling dynamic human motion, designing and constructing electro-mechanical systems, and comparative human subject testing in addition to the mechanical experience gained through his coursework. He also worked as a Teaching Assistant for a physiology course and continues to work as a teaching specialist in an introductory level biomechanics course for the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Mr. Fox is a licensed Professional Engineering Intern in the state of Illinois. He is an FAA licensed drone pilot and certified Bosch CDR tool technician. He is a member of SAE, ASB and ASME.
