John Higgins

As the Director of Information Technology at S-E-A, John Higgins is responsible for overseeing the technology assets utilized by S-E-A’s many associates. John serves as the company’s Data Protection Officer and has a heavy focus on daily information security operations as well as the vision for future cyber defense. After joining the company in 2006, John piloted countless IT projects aligned with business needs to further our associates’ capabilities in the field.

Prior to joining S-E-A, John worked for a U.S. Department of Defense contractor in Columbia, Maryland. John was initially hired as a System Administrator in our Baltimore office before eventually landing at S-E-A Charlotte. As a Maryland native, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland. With a passion for cyber security, John is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s InfraGard partnership.

As a proud husband and father, he enjoys all things that make them laugh. He is a golfer, handyman, and loves to eat. John may be the “IT guy” at home and at work, but he also loves to unplug and relax on cruise vacations.
