Biography
Ms. Mitchell’s responsibilities at S-E-A include investigations related to the examination and analysis of electrical systems, appliances, and equipment that have been involved in fires, shock, electrocution, and other incidents.
Ms. Mitchell earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University, with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering, where she participated in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Baja organization and the Northern of Illinois University-Enhancing Engineering Pathways (NIU-EEP) integrated outreach and mentoring programs.
Prior to joining S-E-A, Ms. Mitchell worked for a custom machine tool OEM. She was responsible for the design, validation, integration, support, and production of a machine line’s electronic systems, including, but not limited to, hardware system design, HMI interfacing, custom addressing, and machine interlocking. Her work ranged from update of legacy designs, as well as field support.
