Biography
Mr. Sherry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Since joining S-E-A, Mr. Sherry has applied his automotive and mechanical systems experience towards forensic investigations of passenger and commercial vehicular accidents, mechanical and electrical systems failures, and product design. Mr. Sherry has conducted extensive research and testing on advanced vehicle technology including, event data recorders, collision mitigation systems, GPS systems, and dash cameras. He specializes in crash reconstruction simulation with experience in Virtual Crash.
Mr. Sherry gained experience in mechanical and electrical systems with his design project for General Dynamics. In this role, Mr. Sherry developed and constructed an environmental testing platform for submarine data and electrical equipment. This platform would subject equipment to electrical and thermal disturbances to ensure compliance to military standards. The platform had multiple data acquisition channels and a graphical user interface for simulation control and live data display. Mr. Sherry is a member of the Society of Automotive engineers (SAE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), as well as an FAA and North Carolina licensed drone pilot.
