Biography
Mr. Dorohoff is a registered professional engineer specializing in vehicular accident reconstruction. He has analyzed hundreds of accidents involving cars, heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcycles, etc.
He has considerable experience with robust 3-D accident reconstruction and simulation programs, photogrammetry, instrumenting vehicles for field tests, conducting and analyzing suspension and steering parameter measurements, and analyzing vehicle handling, stability, and performance.
During his graduate studies, he served as a University Fellow at the Ohio State University contracted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to study vehicle rollover.
During his undergraduate studies at Ohio University, he was involved in tire design, testing, and manufacturing at an international tire manufacturer. He is a certified specialist in the retrieval of crash data from onboard vehicle event data recorders (“black boxes”).
Mr. Dorohoff is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), where he is an active contributor to writing and reviewing SAE technical papers. His related interests include automotive racing and motorcycle riding.
