Nathan McLain

Mr. McLain received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Master of Civil Engineering degree, with a Structural Engineering focus, from the University of South Florida. Mr. McLain is a Civil / Structural Engineer in S-E-A’s Tampa, Florida office. He performs structural forensic evaluations to determine the presence, extent, and / or cause of damage to buildings and structural components due to storm, wind, impact, water intrusion, and other phenomena. Mr. McLain provides investigation and consultation services for a variety of projects, including roof damage and construction-related issues.

Prior to joining S-E-A, Mr. McLain spent 12 years with a structural and geotechnical forensic engineering firm as a Project Engineer. During this time, he performed forensic engineering evaluation services to determine the severity and extent of damage to structures and roof covering systems throughout the state of Florida. Mr. McLain also evaluated stucco cladding systems and roof covering systems for construction compliance.

Mr. McLain is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida and a licensed remote pilot for small unmanned aircraft systems.
