Biography
At S-E-A, Mr. Yarborough’s responsibilities include investigating mechanical equipment and systems failures, including those involving heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment. Experience includes code analysis, design, and evaluating operating issues with equipment and systems, such as plumbing and piping systems, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
Mr. Yarborough serves as a technical consultant in crash reconstruction, involving passenger vehicles and light and heavy commercial vehicles, including Event Data Recorder (“black box”) imaging and analysis, braking systems, and pneumatic systems. He is experienced with the use of 3D scanning equipment for documenting vehicles, scenes, and evidence for use in analysis.
Prior to joining S-E-A, Mr. Yarborough gained experience as a design engineer with a mechanical design/build contractor. He performed design, review of design, and contract administration for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for new construction and retrofit projects. Specific responsibilities included project scope development, HVAC equipment selection and layout (chilled and condenser water systems, medium pressure steam and condensate return systems, heating hot water systems, self-contained water-cooled units, packaged rooftop equipment, energy recovery systems, humidification systems, and dehumidification systems), plumbing system design (domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, and natural gas systems), ventilation and exhaust system design (including grease duct and airborne infection isolation exhaust), utility connection design and coordination, equipment life-cycle analysis, controls sequence development, and energy modeling.
Mr. Yarborough is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
