Biography
Mr. Prislinger holds a Master of Power Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and dual bachelorโs degrees in Electrical Engineering (with a minor in Mathematics) and Music from Northern Illinois University. He is an Electrical Engineer at S-E-A, Ltd., where he investigates incidents involving fire, shock, electrocution, and equipment failure across a wide range of electrical systems. His responsibilities include on-site and laboratory analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systemsโincluding utility-scale equipmentโto determine the cause and sequence of failures resulting in property damage or personal injury.
Prior to joining S-E-A, Mr. Prislinger spent 15 years in power systems engineering, including leading engineering teams designing, building, and operating green energy solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems across the United States. His previous roles included Director of Project Engineering & Execution at RWE Clean Energy, Manager of Operations Engineering at Invenergy, and Engineering Manager at Engie North America. He also worked as a Transmission System Operator and as a substation commissioning engineer, gaining extensive hands-on experience in medium- to extra-high-voltage electrical systems and SCADA infrastructure.
Mr. Prislinger is a licensed Professional Engineer in over 30 states and holds the NABCEP Photovoltaic Installation Professional certification. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), and OSHA 30-hour certified. He has received advanced training in energy storage systems, photovoltaic system design, arc flash safety, and the National Electrical Code.
