Biography
Mr. Gilbert is an Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University. Operating out of S-E-Aโs Atlanta office, he performs investigations of existing buildings and properties to determine the presence, extent, and/or cause of damage to building components. Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating potentially defective construction and/or design of roof systems, interior finishes and exterior/interior wall assembly systems. Additionally, he provides analysis and consultation for premises liability claims, including building code/ADA compliance, walkway surface allegations and potentially defective construction or design.
Prior to joining S-E-A, Mr. Gilbert had over 28 years of experience in the design and construction of commercial, residential, K-12 and higher education buildings, and athletic facilities. He possesses extensive knowledge of building construction, including roof, wall, floor, and finish systems for multiple structure types.
Mr. Gilbert is a registered Architect in multiple states. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), ASTM International, American Lighting Association, and is a U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
