Crane & Rigging Safety

About Our Crane and Rigging Safety Capabilities

Today’s structures cannot be built without the use of cranes and rigging. Whether it’s a boom truck used to move a material to the roof of a new strip mall, or a 50-story tower crane used to lift girders for a new office building, the job cannot get done without the use of these complex machines and their associated rigging.

Few construction incidents garner more attention and headlines than the collapse of a crane, regardless of the size of the machine.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulates crane and rigging safety through Subpart CC of the construction standard.  This relatively new OSHA standard was enacted in the wake of several high-profile crane incidents, all of which resulted in the loss of life.

Evaluation Services By Certified Safety Professionals

When requiring a professional for matters related to cranes or rigging, ensure that professional is certified by a nationally recognized organization, such as the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).  S-E-A has NCCCO certified crane operators and rigging experts on staff ready to assist you. Further, a number of our certified crane operators have also served as construction site safety directors, overseeing projects from small manufacturing operations to billion-dollar automobile manufacturing plants.
