If your client has a construction-related claim and is a general contractor, grading contractor, structural engineer, architect, civil designer, inspection company, soil may be related to the claim. Were the soils considered properly during design? It is a tangled web woven on a construction site, given the interaction between prime and subcontractors, inspection duties, duty to potect, control the site, duty of design professionals, etc.
