Biography
Ms. Gridley has 30+ years of professional engineering experience, having earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of South Florida in 1989. Prior to joining S-E-A, she was responsible for Safety, Health & Environmental compliance for two fossil-fuel-fired power plants. As a Senior Civil Engineer/Safety & Health Consultant, her diverse background in both engineering and safety and health assists her in investigating accidents in commercial, industrial, residential, and multi-employer settings, premises liability/egress evaluations, structural inspections, foundation and roof investigations, water intrusion evaluations, and vibration damage analysis.
Most notably, Ms. Gridley has implemented and managed safety and health programs addressing fall protection, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks, confined space, heat stress, noise, respiratory protection, control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout), machine guarding, and hot work.
In addition to being a licensed professional engineer in Florida and nine additional states, Ms. Gridley is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified XL Tribomotrist, a Certified Mold Remediator (CMR), and a licensed mold assessor in the State of Florida. She is a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Technical Committee on Pedestrian/Walkway Safety and Footwear, the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).
