Biography
Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Science in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri. His professional affiliations include the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
As a state of Florida registered professional engineer as well as 14 additional states, Mr. Clark investigates electrical faults and malfunctions, particularly those suspected of causing a fire, equipment damage, or shock, and reconstructs accidents to determine the mode, sequence, and/or component of failure resulting in the damage to equipment or individuals. His wide range of abilities also include analyzing various types of electrical power equipment (e.g., transformers, circuit breakers, power lines, commercial and residential electrical systems, solar photovoltaic systems, etc.), and appliances on-site and/or in the laboratory to determine failure modes or factors leading to fire, damage, or personal injury. Mr. Clark consults codes and standards related to incidents, as well as evaluates control systems and devices, and conducts tests to determine the reliability of products.
Prior to joining S-E-A in 2019, he was a Consulting Engineer, Project Manager for Ameren and overseeing contractor construction activities on electric power generation facility additions, replacements, and upgrades to systems, such as boilers, turbine generators, feedwater, coal handling, ash, wastewater, and electrical distribution. Mr. Clark also Specified and acceptance-tested electrical equipment, such as MCCs (Motor Control Center), switchgear, protective relays, motors, HPUs (Hydraulic Power Unit), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive), MOVs (Motor Operated Valve), load banks, instrumentation, control systems, and control panels.
