Mr. Jacobson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. Mr. Jacobson graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Applied Fluid Mechanics. Prior to joining S-E-A, he spent seven years working as a Project Engineer and Project Manager assessing and managing water, wastewater, and raw water infrastructure, with a focus on buried pipelines.
As a Civil Engineer at S-E-A, Mr. Jacobson performs examinations and analysis of structures to determine the presence, extent, and/or cause of damage to building components and piping systems. He provides investigation and consultation for a variety of matters, including, but not limited to roof and building envelope/fenestration damage and failures, water intrusion, storm water runoff, and water and sewer systems. Additionally, Mr. Jacobson performs investigation and analysis pertaining to storm water drainage and management, hydrology, water and sewer systems, and other civil engineering matters for design, construction and maintenance-related issues. He also completes investigation and analysis of plumbing, piping and other hydraulic and fluid mechanics systems.
Mr. Jacobson is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in Maryland and several other states. Additionally, Mr. Jacobson is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Water Works Association, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the National Roof Contractor’s Association (NRCA), and the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
